The Federal Wage and Hour Law can be difficult to understand.  Each year thousands of businesses are audited; violations that are found can cost thousands of dollars in back wages, fines and expensive litigation.  Don’t make the mistake of assuming you understand the law and are in compliance when you may have misinterpreted it. 
What is the difference between exempt and non-exempt employees for overtime and minimum wage requirements?  Do you have to pay employees for on-call time?  Is your service advisor eligible for overtime pay?  Are your technicians eligible for overtime pay?  If you pay technicians flat commission, do you have to keep a record of their hours?  What records are you required to keep?
