EVAP Testing

Presented by: David Hall, Andrew Sexton and Colten Ramsey

This hands-on EVAP Diagnostics course is designed to help technicians build confidence in identifying, testing, and repairing evaporative emissions system faults. Participants will review EVAP system operation, common component failures, leak detection strategies, and diagnostic trouble code interpretation while learning practical approaches that improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency. Through guided live demonstrations and interactive shop exercises, attendees will use scan tools, smoke machines, service information, and testing procedures to diagnose real-world EVAP concerns. This session is intended to provide technicians with practical diagnostic strategies they can immediately apply in the shop to reduce comebacks and improve repair confidence.
